Rehearsal dinner

The rehearsal dinner for Randy and Delia's wedding was hosted by Al and Juanita in their backyard. The weather was perfect and the dinner turned out great! Here are a few pics from the event:

Indoor soccer

Jeff is playing on an indoor soccer team with some people we met at the Lagger Party. The sports complex is 35 miles away!! but he is loving being back on the field. He also played outdoor soccer on a different team during April and May. I forced him to take this picture (like a kid on their first day of Kindergarten). You can tell he was thrilled. Click below to check out some of the action!

Swimming lessons

We have been trying to teach Daz and Sierra how to get out of the pool in case they fall in while we are not home. One would think that a dog would have the common sense to know how to get out of a pool but when we tested them by tossing them in, they both panicked and clung to the side, unsure of how to get out. We have been teaching them where the stairs are. Sierra has it down now but Daz is still learning. Obviously Jeff thought Sierra needed a little relaxing time since she had been working so hard!

Moore's Lagger Party

My Dad's cousin, Sharon, and her husband, Bill, host an annual lagger tournament/ pool party that is always AWESOME! They have such a good turn out of friendly people who are excited about playing laggers, BBQing and swimming. This year there were about 150 people at the party and amazingly enough, I was able to place 3rd in the tournament! For those of you who don't know what 'Laggers' is, just think cross between horseshoes and 'Cornhole'. You throw washers (metal disks) in holes on a board and try to score points. It's that simple!

Me receiving the prize money! $100 to be split between me and my partner. The winning team split $300.

Happy Memorial Day!

To celebrate Memorial Day weekend, we went to Apache Lake with a group of 22 friends. Jeff organized the trip and went out to the lake on Thursday, with Matt and Scottie, to reserve the campsite and set things up. As you can see, they picked a beautiful spot! The three boys weathered two cold nights of rain before everyone else arrived on Saturday. With unseasonably cold temperatures (hence the sweatshirts) we cruised around on our rented (and very ghetto) pontoon boat. A few brave people water skied behind the ski boat but for the most part we stayed out of the water. Everyone camped on Saturday night after grilling hot dogs and roasting marshmallows. Hopefully we can make this an annual tradition because we had a lot of fun! Next year we will hope for warmer weather!

Home Improvements...

For those of you who have not been to our house since the wedding, we have slowly been working on some home improvements and wanted to show off some of our hard work! Here are a few things we have done to the house during the past year and a half.

Painted the dining room and got a 'grown-up' dining table. We've even eaten at it twice!

Updated lighting throughout the house.

Got a new couch!

Designed a collage wall of friends and family.

Furnished the living room, complete with antique quilt and jukebox- priceless family heirlooms!

We LOVE living in this house and feel so fortunate to be here. It definitely feels like home to us now and we can't wait to continue to build memories here.

Pool Party!

The pool party turned out great! The weather was perfect and we had a great time grilling burgers and hanging out with friends. Not too many people swam since the water is still slightly on the chilly side. Jeff ventured into the pool with Amanda and Joe's son, Leo. We also played laggers, beer pong and LRC. Thanks to everyone who came and spent the day with us!
